Pinko – Antwerp – 2005-Collaboration with the studio Giovanni DelBoca and Angela Ferrari bring the opportunity to bring the art work in a space of architecture and fashion at the same time working for the new development of PINKO’s store around Europe.
“ONE NIGHT ONLY”
concept art-work for the interior installed with a life-performance or Sara Dell’onze in August 2008
Pinko Antwerp, Belgium
Commissioned site-specific installation
Developed for the Pinko flagship store in Antwerp, One Night Only transformed the retail space into an immersive narrativeenvironment. The project combined light, sound, sculpture and drawingdrawing through a series of interconnected interventions unfolding acrossacross the store. Four neon texts installed along the staircase guided visitors through a fragmented story, accompanied by a specially recorded sound piece and spoken voice. Two sculptural plaster busts were positioned above the fireplaces, while a custom-designed rose-shaped fibreglass lamp introduced a symbolic presence within the interior. The installation was completed by a live drawing-performance developed directly onto the walls of the store, leaving traces of the artistic action embedded within the architecture.Through the interaction of narrative elements, objects and spatial interventions, the project explored the relationship between memory, desire and the theatrical experience of space.
