SAINT GEORGE AND THE BUTTERFLY
Commissioned site-specific installation and performance.Developed for the Pinko store in Florence, St. George and the Butterfly originated from a nocturnal theatrical performance staged inside the space after closing hours.Actors performed a scripted sequence illuminated by directed light sources. The performance generated temporary shadows and silhouettes that became the starting point for a permanent intervention on the store walls. Traces of movement, gestures and bodies were translated into large-scale drawings,preserving the memory of the live action.The project explored the relationship between presence and absence, transforming ephemeral performance into a lasting visual narrative embedded within the architecture of the store.
